- Develop epidemiological surveillance tools and strategies for prevention and control of vector borne diseases.
- Take a leadership role in technology transfer findings to operational settings.
- Develop methods for rapid response and disaster management with reference to vector borne disease outbreaks.
- Generate evidence based information system useful for policy formulation /changes
- Establish and strengthen local / state / national / international linkages and networking.
- Promote healthy environment by empowering community with the knowledge on transmission risk reduction
- Undertake human resource development activities to meet local / state / national / international challenges
- Provide a platform for free expression of all ideas and concepts that are likely to alleviate suffering from vector borne diseases
- Develop better tools and strategies for vector borne disease control / elimination / eradication utilizing existing or newer tools
- Epidemiolgical investigations of vector borne diseases for optimizing intervention strategies, Rapid response surveillance
- Provide technical assistance for the development of strategy for effective prevention or control of vector borne diseases and vectors / other arthropod nuisance
